What is this thing called an “actuator” anyway?
- A door lock actuator functions as the device that unlocks and locks your car door. If you try to lock or unlock your car door and the pin doesn't work, the motor has worn out and requires replacing.
Will it fit my car?
- Well, if your car is a 1998 - 2000 Volvo S70 or V70, then you're in luck! It does! For C70's with the weak lock pin, the DIY motor will fix you up.
Part of it looks cracked. Is that normal?
- Yes. Sometimes it is inevitable when I open the case to replace the motor, the cover can sometimes crack. This doesn’t affect performance or lifespan at all; it just means that the cover was particularly hard to open when I rebuilt it. They're not pretty, but they work like a dream!
What if I don’t send in my broken actuator?
- Well that is certainly up to you. However, returning your broken locks help keep my prices low and save me from having to source locks, which means faster turn around for you as well! All of this not to mention cash back in your pocket once I receive them!
